Communication

We use two digital platforms to broadcast information about Parish Council business, as well as local community news and events:

  • An email circulation list held within the Wix Website platform

  • A WhatsApp group dedicated to Wolfhampcote Parish Council

If you are signed up to either of these services, we collect and use some personal data about you. Listed below are the elements of data we collect, the legal basis on which they are collected (in brackets) and exactly what we do with that data:

  • Your name and your home address (Legitimate interest). We use this data to verify that you are a genuine resident in the local community and therefore have a bona fide interest in receiving information from us. Having verified your credentials, we then delete your home address details.

  • Your email address, if you are signed up to receive emails (Legitimate interest). The data is used to send you information on Parish Council business, local community events and local community news

    • You can subscribe to the circulation list through the website

    • You can unsubscribe from the email list at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email; or by emailing the Parish Clerk at wolfhampcote.pc@gmail.com; or by filling in the contact form on the website.

  • Your mobile phone number, if you are signed up to the Wolfhampcote PC WhatsApp group (Legitimate interest). The data is used to send you information on Parish Council business, local community events and local community news

    • You can unsubscribe from the Wolfhampcote PC WhatsApp group directly from your mobile phone.
